MUSICAL WORK

MB  An original work, in which all the music and any text are of original creation without depending on pre-existing material to have formed. Small references to other works may exist, but are dwarfed by the vast majority of the work;
MBd  A work centred around pre-existing material, but which departs from its initial presentation into developments that are complex enough to be considered original, as opposed to mere variations;
MB/d  A work consisting of both originals and developments as separate sections;
MBa  A simple arrangement or re-instrumentation of a pre-existing theme with no development sections;
MB/a  A work consisting of both originals and arrangements as separate sections;
MBv  A variation or set of variations on a pre-existing theme;
MBov  A set of variations on an original theme;
MBn  A work consisting of any configuration of developments, arrangements, and/or variations as separate sections;
MB-t  Text by (an)other author(s) set to original music;
MBa-t  Text by (an)other author(s) set to an arrangement;
MBmt  Only the music and musical text are by M. Bulteau;
MBh  A harmonization and/or orchestration of a loose pre-existing melody, usually an exercise;
MBs  A work made purely of pre-existing samples, without notation of any form.

Extra modifiers for musical works:
 A co-composed work, in which a relevant part of the music writing process isn't exclusive to M. Bulteau;
+t  Only the text is co-written;
ot  Only the text is original;
&p  The work includes illustrations by (an)other artist(s).
&pp  The work includes illustrations and further creative elements by (an)other artist(s)/collaborator(s).


GAME DESIGN WORK

MC  An original work;
MBC  An original work with an original soundtrack;
MCm  A mod, or a game scenario built using the tools of another game.


LITERARY WORK

MR  An original work, in which all the text is of original creation without depending on pre-existing material to have formed. Small references to other works may exist, but are dwarfed by the vast majority of the work;
MR-m  An original work that employs music by (an)other author(s) in an original context;
MRt  A tribute work, deliberately inspired by pre-existing material but original in writing;
MRa  An adaptation;
MRo  An opinion publication.

Extra modifiers for literary works:
 A co-written work, in which a relevant part of the writing process isn't exclusive to M. Bulteau;
&p  The work includes illustrations by (an)other artist(s).


MISCELLANEOUS WORK

MX  A work that fits none of the types above, an original assembly of elements from various sources. 

DATE FORMAT

ddmmyy  Sole day of writing, or only known date of completion;
ddmmyy-ddmmyy  Start date of writing, followed by the date of completion;
i  On the start date, means the work is incomplete;
 On the date of completion of a co-created work, means only M. Bulteau’s part is complete.
”  On the date of completion, means the same year as the start date;
””  On the date of completion, means the same month and year as the start date;
 Unknown pair of digits (day, month, or year, depending on placement);

Future works have no date, but may already display a planned relation to other works.


RELATION TO OTHER WORKS

_ra  The work is a rearrangement of (an)other work(s);
_ras  The work is a rearrangement of a particular movement / section of (an)other work(s);
_rad  The work is a rearrangement of (an)other work(s) with the addition of original development;
_rc  The work recycles material from (an)other work(s);
_rrc  The work recycles previously recycled material from (an)other work(s);
_rrrc  ... and so on;
_rv  The work is a revised version of (an)other work(s);
_xs  The work is an unaltered section taken from another work;
_c  The work is merely a compilation of sections that were originally other works made separately.
_&  The work has its own material, but also contains (a) section(s) that was / were originally other work(s) made separately;
_sq  The work is a sequel of (a) previous work(s).


DATE FORMAT OF RELATED WORKS

They function like the dates above, except only the single or start date is displayed for each related work:
ddmmyy  Sole day of writing, or start date of a related work;
ddmmyy.ddmmyy  More than one work referenced by the same relation.
(ddmmyy)  A related work that, although incorporated in the composition process, became unused material.

Extra modifiers for related works:
u  Unused material from a related work.
i  Incomplete related work;

Due to their status, incomplete works may reference other works from after their start date.
